Difference between hell and heaven
A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, "Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like. " The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water. The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful, but because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, "You have seen Hell." They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, "I don't understand." " It is simple" said the Lord, "it requires but one skill. You see, they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves."

Prayer (the best wish) is one of the best free gifts we receive.

St. Theresa's Prayer:
May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget (have PATIENCE ) the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you...
May you be content knowing you are a child of God...
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

F A I T H (S H R D D H A) and P A T I E N C E (S A B U R E E)

You have to give instructions to the computer in a language that is understood by the computer such as C, C++, HTML, Pascal, JAVA, SQL etc, etc in a logical order. So, for the computer we have to have complete logic. Not only this but, these languages have their own proper usage of words (Coding), grammar or syntax. One small mistake such as putting a comma, or semi colon and all your million lines of instructions to computer will be useless and your computing program will not ‘run’.
No language is required in case of Pooja or prayer, In fact there is a story about a devotee. He had a complete faith that if he composed a beautiful prayer The Lord will be pleased. So He thought and thought for the perfect words and the style etc. But he could not find proper words. He said to the Lord, Bhagavan, “Hey, Bhagavan, I do not know how to compose a devotional prayer for you. So, I offer You all the 26 alphabets from A to Z and You compose the prayer for yourself. After all You are the real Dnyani, (You are the most knowledgeable in the whole universe.) And he waited patiently for the Lord to appear in front of him. And God did appear in front of him and said to him, “You are the greatest devotee. This is the best Prayer I received in ages.”
In other words in Pooja any thing is allowed, and there is no logic, or proper usage of words, grammar or syntax or any particular language. There is no logic in prayer. But there are only two things required. First you must have totalFAITH (Shrdhdha) and then you must have PATIENCE (Saburee).

Shiradinivasi Saibaba said, "Give me two pennies (FAITH (Shrdhdha) and PATIENCE (Saburee)) and I will give you everything from my coffers."

Why women cry...

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?" "All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say. The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said: "When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

THE WINDOW WITH THE VIEW...

It will take just 37 seconds to read this and change your thinking.

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn't hear the band, he could see it In his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days and weeks passed. One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his firstlook at the world outside. Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it for himself. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window. The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

Epilogue: There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled. If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy. "Today is a gift, that's why it is called the present."

THE APPLE TREE

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the tree top, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow. He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.

Time went by... the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree everyday. One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.
"Come and play with me," the tree asked the boy.
"I am no longer a kid, I don't play around trees anymore."
The boy replied, "I want toys. I need money to buy them."
"Sorry, but I don't have money... but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money."
The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.
One day, the boy returned and the tree was so excited.
"Come and play with me" the tree said.
"I don't have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?"
"Sorry, but I don't have a house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house."
So the boy cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the boy never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the boy returned and the tree was delighted.
"Come and play with me!" the tree said.
"I am sad and getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?"
"Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy."
So the boy cut the tree truck to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time. Finally, the boy returned after he left for so many years.
"Sorry, my boy. But I don't have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you... " the tree said.
"I don't have teeth to bite" the boy replied.
"No more truck for you to climb on"
"I am too old for that now" the boy said.
"I really can't give you anything ... the only thing left is my dying roots," the tree said with tears.
"I don't need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years." The boy replied.
"Good! Old tree roots is the best place to lean on and rest. Come, Come sit down with me and rest."
The boy sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.......

This is a story of everyone. The tree is our parent. When we were young, we loved to play with Mom and Dad. When we grew up, we left them... only came to them when we needed something or when we were in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could to make you happy.

THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM

Two travelling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem."

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."

"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You might not know it until some time later...

The little child...

The little child whispered,
"God, speak to me"
And a meadowlark sang.
But the child did not hear.
So the child yelled,
"God, speak to me!"
And the thunder rolled across the sky
But the child did not listen.
The child looked around and said,
"God let me see you"
And a star shone brightly
But the child did not notice.
And the child shouted,
"God show me a miracle!"
And a life was born
But the child did not know.
So the child cried out in despair,
"Touch me God, and let me know you are here!"
Whereupon God reached down
touched the child.
But the child brushed the butterfly away
And walked away unknowingly.

ORIGIN OF THIS THOUGHTFUL POEM IS UNKNOWN.

I think...This child grew up and turned into our hero JIM from "God will help me"

    GOD WILL HELP ME!

Jim, who lived near a river was a very religious man. One day, the river rose over the banks and flooded the town, and Jim was forced to climb onto his porch roof. While he was sitting there, a man in a boat came along and told Jim to get in the boat with him. Jim said "No, that's ok. God will take care of me." So, the man in the boat drives off.

The water rose more, so Jim climbed onto his roof. At that time, another boat came along and the person in that one told Jim to get in. Jim replied, "No, that's ok. God will take care of me." The person in the boat then left.

The water rose even more, and Jim climbed on his chimney. Then a helicopter came and lowered a ladder. The woman in the helicopter told Jim to climb up the ladder and get in. Jim told her "That's ok." The woman said, "Are you sure?" Jim said, "Yeah, I'm sure God will take care of me.

Finally, the water rose too high and Jim drowned. Jim went up to Heaven and was face to face with God. Jim said to God "You told me you would take care of me! What happened?" God replied "Well, I sent you two boats and a helicopter. What else did you want?"

This joke makes me laugh. But, I might have ignored God's help many times, I think...

There are so many things we can talk about. Many times we compare ourselves with our friends and others and when we find ourselves less than some body we are then jealous of such a person. So I have a simple solution for this. When I find that one of my friends is more intelligent than me then I feel that soon I will be jealous of him. So, I think that I should compare myself with Albert Einstein instead of him. This way, immediately I upgraded myself in better position. So I will be jealous of Albert Einstein only and nobody else as far as intelligence is concerned. Similarly I should be jealous of Bill Gates and nobody else as far as wealth is concerned. So I will be never jealous of any body whom I know because nobody is close even to these great personalities.

Another thing comes to my mind: When things go really wrong as in the case of Murphy's law, we are worried and when things go really bad we are very much depressed. If I am in a such a terrible situation I think that I should compare my situation with the situation of the greatest warrior Arjuna. Even though Lord Krishna was his friend and savior, Arjun had to face the greatest hardships and humiliation. As soon as I think in this way, my terrible situation becomes bearable.

Now the greatest question for me: These are just my thoughts and there is no action from me. So I could not get rid of jealousy and when things go really bad I am very much depressed from time to time. So help me GOD.
